The first steps to a basic strategy

The game is one of the simplest ever invented. The rules are few and there's no physical effort involved in playing it. You just sit, look at a few cards and make your bets. So what are these charts? The first gives you the rules on when to split a pair. The strategy changes depending on the value of the cards dealt to you and the value of the card you can see the Dealer holding. So it starts with the rule that you split a pair of aces no matter what the Dealer holds, and goes down to the choices when you hold a pair of 2s. The other two charts deal with hard hands and soft hands. A hard hand is when neither card is an ace and the strategy changes significantly depending on the card held by the Dealer and the table rules on when the Dealer must stand or draw. A soft hand contains an ace and is easier to play because you can always draw one more card without busting - this takes some of the pressure off the play. I started off by saying blackjack is an easy game but, like all games, you can play for fun or you can take it seriously and play to win. In this case, you are more likely to win if you learn the charts and can play the strategy without thinking. To really take on the House edge, you also have to become a card counter but that's a whole new story because it does not work in a virtual casino. For now, focus on the basic strategy and start your winning blackjack career.

Somebody Stole My Money at PayPal

On first day this month, I've received an e-mail from PayPal. That e-mail told me if PayPal has limited access to my account because there was a third party would like to access my PayPal account. That limited access action by PayPal also made me can't login to my account.

I was suddenly shocked and frightened at that time because I never got limited access PayPal account before.

And after completing some tasks and verifications, finally I could login at my PayPal account and everything getting clear while I found a transaction which somebody was stolen my money at PayPal. This thief was success made a transaction about $3.

Sure I've been reported about that and ask PayPal to investigate it and I wish I could my money back. I know it's not a lot of money but money is still money and it's mine and I want it back.

So I suggested you to be careful with your PayPal account especially with your username and password so they're can't steal your money at your PayPal account.

Bing : A New Search Engine From Microsoft

Almost week ago on Tuesday June 9, 2009, Microsoft has launched a new search engine called Bing. This new search engine is a new shape from Microsoft previous search engine Live Search which getting unsuccessful and disappointed.

I haven’t explore Bing yet because the internet connection at my office so badly. But couple days ago I have try this search engine. And my first impression is Bing really caught my eyes. I think Microsoft has been innovated by adding an image as background which it automatically switching everyday. With a huge image which covered all browser area and with my bad internet connection, Bing’s loading page is so fast.

At Web search result page there will be small pop up while the mouse pointing over on one of search result which contains more detailed information about the site.

And on Image search result page, there will be much thumbnail of search result which it can be arranged just like a photo album. There is also some menu on left side of the search result which divided the image search result by category.

The term "back link" refers to an outside link on another site that points to yours. In the past any link from another site would have a positive impact on your site by the search engines. Because there were so many gimmicks developed in the last few years to garner massive back links to websites such as link farms, and irrelevant reciprocal linking Google began to develop a way to weed out links that were purchased, or had little meaning or relevancy.

Even though back linking is used to manipulate search engine popularity there are many very legitimate reasons for using the system of back linking. The fact that onsite links like that have such a perceived relevance to the visitor makes them a valuable marketing tool, but that perception of quality is also why Google works so hard to be sure they are real quality links. You will get higher ranking on a search engine for a number of truly appropriate back linking partnerships however if the sites linking to you do not share any common information or products Google will penalize you for the link. It is when there are many links from each site all pointing to a single 'main' site that the search engines look at them suspiciously.

The system Google is working hard to put in place to discount a link from a bad site is why it is very important to know who is linking to you and if their site stacks up to your standards. It is no longer true that all inbound links to your site are good links. There are very good tools available online for free that can show you who is linking to you. If you find a site that is linking to you that you feel is questionable in terms of how they relate to your website either in information or product you should contact the webmaster of the site and demand that they remove the link to your website to avoid being penalized by the search engines.

Probably the best way to obtain a back link to your site is through anchor text. That is when you have another website with content that is relevant to your own (relevancy is ALWAYS important) including your site in the actual content of their site with a hyperlink inside the text. These back links are valued much higher than a simple sidebar link as long as they appear in the text in a way that has a fluid and meaningful association with the content of the article. There are several ways to get such back links.

Providing articles to content sites with your link built into the article is one method. If you write very compelling information on your website is another as someone else with a similar site may wish to point it out on their own. You may not even realize they are doing it unless they tell you about it. This is one of the main reasons it is important to keep an eye on who is back linking to you. While the majority of those types of links are wonderful and you should thank the site owner for their inclusion, if you feel the site that is linking to you does not meet your standards, have similar information, or the content is not relevant to your site you should definitely ask them to remove your link.

A couple days ago I have read at one of Indonesian IT blog that next Windows is Windows 7. In fact ‘7’ is a codename for this upcoming Windows which is still in development. Before 7 was officially picked up as a name there are several codename such as Blackcomb and Vienna.

Then its also told that the reason why Microsoft name it Windows 7 is simplicity. I think it was logic because there were so many criticism about Windows Vista because its too heavy and too complicated.

They wait user doing the mistype of the real website at address bar in browser.

It’s hard to find the right words to describe what is ‘blog’ exactly. There’s no actual meaning of ‘blog’ in any dictionaries that I read. But here I’ll try to give you a little view about what ‘blog’ is.

Blog is a website which contains with the update news about anything. Anything here’s could be article, photo, mp3, video, poems, etc.

But I more like to say that blog is on line journal or online diary. This is because that mostly blog only contains with unique and personal views about anything that they thought. This is makes blog different with website. Blog is more personal because it contains a personal view about facts. In short term I would like to say that blog is a personal website.

Blog firstly appearance at late of 90s. But now there’s more than a millions blogs over the internet. This huge progress could be happened because of how easy to have a blog. Because you don’t have to got a great skill of web programming to get a blog.

Blogging is activities while somebody does something with their blog. It could be posting a new article or edit blog’s template.

I was shocked because Google AdSense was sent my PIN by letter. Since I’ve got an e-mail from Google AdSense about my PIN on February 21, 2008 I still confused because I couldn’t found any number which recognized as PIN number in that e-mail.

Well this letter honestly pumps up my spirit again to increase my earning from Google AdSense program. As you know I was a Google AdSense publisher since October 2007. After Google AdSense send PIN number, would they be send my check? I hope so…

Easy Ways to Show Hidden Files

If you would take a look at the many files that you have stored in your computer, you surely would be amazed at the hundreds upon hundreds of files you have saved over time. And there just might come a time when you would not remember where you stored a certain file. There would be more difficulty if you do not remember the exact location of your file, and the file in question is a hidden one. Thus, you would surely want to find an efficient way to show hidden files.

This is actually pretty simple, especially if your operating system is Windows. Just a few clicks of your mouse, and you can easily have in display all your hidden files in your system. First off, open your My Documents folder. Find the Tools tab at the top of this folder and click on it. A prompt would then pop out, giving you some options. You should then click on the Folder Options tab. Once this is expanded, click on the View tab, and click on the option 'Show hidden files and folders'. Click on the Apply tab at the bottom of the prompt, then hit OK. This will then reveal all hidden files in all of your drives. You can also perform the same operation using Windows Explorer. You will have to undergo the same steps to achieve the same results.

You also have to understand that the Windows operating system actually has reason for hiding some files intentionally. This is because the deletion of such files would most likely cause problems in running certain applications. Now, this scenario is actually a welcomed one, compared to the risks of causing an overall system crash. Yes, the deletion of certain files can indeed cause this. Of course, the person who deleted these files could be very well innocent because the deletion might be purely accidental. But just so that this could be avoided, Windows purposely hides these files from plain view.

There could also be times when you yourself intentionally hide these files because they have information that is sensitive in nature. These are the files that you do not want in public view, thus, you purposely keep them hidden. But what happens when you have forgotten the exact location of these files? Furthermore, what should you do if these files are password protected, and you just do not remember the password that you once set is?

There are actually a lot of software tools that you can download via the net, which can greatly help you in cracking passwords. These are freeware utility programs that you can get absolutely free of charge. They also come with a lot of useful features as well. As for your options to show hidden files here, it gets a little complicated. The simple method discussed above won't work because you do not really know where the file is specifically located. Thus, you would have to conduct a security scan of your system, to determine the locations of hidden files, and if these hidden files were indeed authorized by you or some other user. This is a utility that you will have to install on your system. Fortunately, there are also free versions that you can get on the web for this.

10 Computer Maintenance Tips

Before you start making mistakes that could cost you the life of your precious computer, you had better learn how to take care of your new arrival. The things you do to your computer now will determine how long your computer will last without crashing.

Below are some tips you should know when using your computer:

Never EVER switch off your computer without waiting for Windows to shut it down. This may cause permanent hard drive defects caused by the hard drive heads contacting the surface of the disc drive and cause a host of Windows problems. The only time you can force a shutdown is if your hard drive "hangs" or refuses to respond. In this case, try pressing ALT+CTRL+DEL keys at the same time and wait for task manager to launch. The Task Manager window will have a tab you can press to enable you to shutdown normally. If Task Manager fails to launch, then you can safely switch off your computer and switch it on again after about 3 minutes. Perform emergency shutdown only when absolutely necessary.
Plug your computer into a UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply). This will prevent power surges in cases of low and high voltage occurrences. A UPS will protect your computer from any type of power disaster.
Backup important files as soon as you can. Purchase a CD burner to store files (make at least 2 copies of the same files on CD). Don't wait until the next day if you can help it. A crash may occur any time.
Use Scandisk and Defragmenter at least once a month. Just like you need to have a check up once in a while to catch any disease that may be forming, your computer also needs to be checked up to keep it healthy and crash-free.
Do not unplug peripherals while they are powered up. Doing so may damage your motherboard.
Keep at least 100 MB of your C: free for Windows to use. Maxing out your drive may result in Windows dumping data to your hard drive, or your computer will run really, really slow.
Do not let a lot of programs load when starting up your computer. Uninstall or delete programs that start up as soon as you start up your computer.
Use an antivirus program. You really need one if you want your computer to keep running smoothly. Downloaded attachments from friends, installed programs downloaded from the net and a host of other ways could infect your computer. An antivirus program will make sure no "bad" stuff is allowed into the system.
Use a firewall if you have a high speed internet connection. A firewall will prevent your computer from getting "hijacked". You may not be aware of it, but your computer may have been hacked at least once. Hackers use search programs to seek out computers at random. Get a firewall program and use it.
Do not throw away installer software once you've installed the program. You will need to reformat your computer some time and all data on the drive will be erased and you will need to reinstall your software.

People spend most of their working hours on computers, then go home to their pcs and spend more time mucking around on them. Laptops have become more affordable to the average Joe. It's not unusual to see people in coffee shops, sipping a latte' and typing furiously away. As our lives become more hectic, we constantly seek convenience, which, ironically, tends to increase the pace. With the birth of wireless networks we finally have the means to work everywhere, and no one has an excuse for being out of the loop. Good news for workaholics; bad news for all those who work for them.

Wireless networks, or WiFi, function in much the same way as two-way radios. A wireless adapter converts data into radio signals, which are transmitted via an antenna to a wireless router. The router decodes the signal and uses a wired Ethernet connection to send the data to the Internet. The process is simply reversed when data is sent back to the computer.

Having wireless adapters on your pcs and laptops is all good and well, but they're useless without WiFi hotspots. When you're in a hotspot your computer just needs to be switched on with the wireless connection enabled, for it to locate a network, which you can then connect to. Some cities are working to create hotspots that span the entire municipality, so that residents can have easy, reliable and inexpensive Internet access wherever they go. Hotspots are completely inconspicuous; the only way you'll know that you're in one is if you spot the signs advertising their presence.

Hybrid wireless networks offer the best of both worlds. Hybrid networks make it possible to connect your pc to a wired network and establish a second, wireless connection to your laptop. This suits gossip mongers just fine as they continue to speculate about the phone's release, competition between Google and Apple, and the myriad of features that the Gphone is bound to have.

Wireless networks are not the way of the future; they are firmly established in the here and now. Science fiction writers of long ago dreamt of a future where technological devices communicated with each other and effortlessly exchanged information. We live in an age where that dream is a reality. Bluetooth, wireless networks and computer/phone hybrids such as the iPhone have made our lives significantly easier and that, in the words of Ron Weasely, is "wicked".
